Shout Out Series // Part 1
For this post or rather series of posts, I wanted to do something a little different than just simply posting some cool photos I’ve taken over the years of some of my really close friends. I want to take a moment to highlight some really amazing people that I’ve had the privilege to know. These people are not just friends to me, their something much more than that, something like family.
This is Mike Behlen, awesome photographer, father, explorer, and an all around pretty stoked human being. Im proud to have known this dude for so many years, especially at an age that was so transformative and easily influenced. We were so young and naive to the rebellious adventures and crazy shit we seemed to always get ourselves into, but always knew how to get out of. This sort of mentality was Mike’s ego way back then, and it wasn’t necessarily a bad one, even though I didn’t think that way at first. Mike showed me how to break my own shell and step out of such a reserved lifestyle. This influenced me into more creative thinking and started a new way of experiencing my life and this short time we have on this earth.
It is because of Mike that I first picked up a camera with such intense curiosity about the world around me. For this I owe you a lot.
As I mentioned before Mike Behlen is a photographer and a good one at that, he’s been working like a dedicated wizard on his polaroids the past few years and has recently put digital cameras on the back burner and dedicated all his time as a photographer just shooting polaroids. Which is pretty damn gnarly if you ask me.
